Head Barista – Weekdays in the CBD 

Mary Street Bakery QV1 is looking for an experienced head barista to lead our coffee section and join our super friendly, close-knit team 

38 hours per week (Mon–Fri, between 6.30am-3.30pm), casual position paid at Level 3 Restaurant Industry Award, with opportunity to move into full-time.

 The role

* Lead a fast-paced, high-volume takeaway coffee section (we’re talking 15kg+ a day)

* Dial in daily – espresso, tasting & recipe adjustments 

* Consistent, high-quality milk texturing 

* Manage coffee & milk stock + ordering 

* Support a second barista and run smooth shifts

 About you

* Barista experience in high-volume cafés in Australia

* Confident dialing in, tasting & troubleshooting

* Comfortable leading and staying calm under pressure 

* Organised, reliable and great with people 

* Able to commit to 6+ months (we’re a low turnover store)
