Experienced Cafe Manager

Darkstar coffee is looking at hiring an experienced cafe manager.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about specialty coffee, has a bubbly and energetic personality, enjoys leading a team, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with our team to ensure the café operates efficiently while maintaining high standards.

About the Role

As our Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, supporting and developing the team, and ensuring smooth service throughout each shift. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for both customers and staff while driving operational excellence.

Your role will include:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café.

- Lead, motivate, and support the front-of-house team.

- Create and manage staff rosters.

- Order and manage stock, supplies, and inventory.

- Maintain high standards of customer service and hospitality.

- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and workplace health and safety standards are consistently met.

- Assist with staff training, onboarding, and ongoing development.

- Work closely with the management team to improve café operations and performance

This role offers opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills beyond day-to-day café management, including: cupping sessions, training and education, single origin tasting, and expansion in your coffee knowledge.

Requirements:

- Availability to work a Tuesday to Saturday roster (full time position)

- Australian citizen with full working rights

- Minimum 2 years experience in managing a cafe desirable
