Roasting Assistant / Roastery & Cafe Role

ROASTING ASSISTANT / ROASTERY & CAFÉ ROLE – POSITION AVAILABLE 

35hrs available 

We’re looking for someone to join our team as a Roasting Assistant, with the opportunity to work across both the coffee roastery and café side.

The main focus of the role will be assisting with our coffee roasting and day-to-day roastery operations. We’re looking for someone who already has roasting experience and is keen to continue developing their skills.

The role will include:

 Assisting with coffee roasting and roast production

 Bagging, packing and preparing wholesale/customer orders

 Assisting with stock ordering 

 Using Xero for invoicing and basic admin

 Helping out in the café with coffee, food and general service when required

 Occasional driving/deliveries between locations

We’re looking for someone who:

* permanent resident, no visa/sponsorships 

• Has previous coffee roasting production  experience – ESSENTIAL 

• Ideally has experience with or an understanding of an IMF roaster

• Has a current driver’s licence

• Has experience using Xero (or is willing to learn)

• A forklift licence is a bonus

• Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work

• Can work independently but is also a team player

• Is happy to get stuck into whatever needs doing

This would suit someone who is passionate about coffee and wants to be involved in the roasting side of the industry, while still having some variety through café, packing, stock and general business duties.
