We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations at the State Buildings and ensure exceptional guest experiences. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of service and driving profitability through effective leadership and strategic management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations, ensuring adherence to procedures, quality standards, and guest satisfaction.
- Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Monitor financial performance, analyse reports, and develop strategies to improve profitability. Control costs, manage budgets, and implement effective inventory management.
- Collaborate on menus aligned with customer preferences and cost considerations. Ensure successful rollout of new menu items across all venues.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations and company policies.
- Continuously improve dining experience based on feedback. Address concerns promptly and implement actions to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain relationships, negotiate contracts, and monitor supplier performance to ensure efficient operations.
- Collaborate on long-term business plans and expansion strategies with senior management.
- Ensure workplace health and safety compliance through inspections, safety protocols, and training programs
Skills:
- RSA certificate required.
- Approved Managers Certification
- Flexibility to work on weekends as needed.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with guests.
- Food Safety Certificate.
Qualifications:
- Previous management/team leading experience. Ability to inspire and lead a team towards common goals, strong communication skills, and strategic decision-making abilities.
- A strong hospitality background.
