Our client is on the hunt for a talented and passionate Pastry Chefs (Baker) to join their prestigious team. Candidate Essentials:

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker, with a demonstrated track record of creativity and excellence in pastry arts.
  • Must hold relevant culinary qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent, recognized within Australia.
  • Required documentation includes professional references, recent payslips, a valid passport, and a clean police record.
 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead the production of pastries, breads, and desserts, ensuring they are of the highest quality and in line with current culinary trends.
  • Design innovative menus and develop new recipes that align with the establishment's standards and customer preferences.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies while maintaining budgetary constraints.
  • Supervise and train junior pastry staff, promoting a culture of learning and excellence within the team.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to provide exceptional dining experiences for guests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Extensive experience as a Pastry Chef or Baker, with at least 5 years in a high-volume kitchen or bakery.
  • A Certificate III in Patisserie or a similar culinary arts qualification.
  • Proficiency in a variety of baking techniques and a wide range of pastry, bread, and dessert creation.
  • Creative culinary skills with the ability to innovate and present visually appealing bakery items.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
