Childcare Cook – Lockridge

Employment Type: Part-Time Temporary Contract (Parental Leave Cover for approximately 12 months)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 2pm (No evenings or weekends!)

About the Role

Love cooking but tired of long hospitality hours? Join Child Australia as a Cook at our Lockridge Campus preparing nutritious meals for children in a warm, supportive environment.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare healthy meals and snacks for children
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met
• Support children’s dietary needs in collaboration with families
• Maintain a clean kitchen and manage food shopping within budget
• Create a positive and enjoyable mealtime experience

What You Need

• Understanding of food safety and special dietary needs
• Experience in menu planning and ordering supplies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to complete Food Safety training
• Valid Working with Children Check (OCHRE Card) or willingness to obtain
• Experience in childcare settings or food qualifications are a bonus

As part of our commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance issued within the last six months. This must be submitted prior to commencing employment.
