Position Overview
Common Bakery High Street Fremantle is seeking an experienced Store Manager and a passionate Head Barista to join our team. These are hands on leadership roles suited to individuals who thrive in a fast paced hospitality environment, value strong team culture, and take pride in consistency, quality, and service.
Both roles play a key part in the daily operations of the bakery, working closely together to ensure smooth service, high standards, and an efficient workflow. You will be joining a supportive and experienced team with a strong focus on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Store Manager position is a full time role, while the Head Barista position is casual, offering 38–40 hours per week.
Store Manager – Key Responsibilities
•Oversee day to day café operations, ensuring smooth service and consistent standards
•Lead, train, and motivate the team to deliver high-quality customer experiences
•Maintain coffee quality and consistency across service
•Manage rostering, staffing levels, and wage budgets
•Oversee ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships
•Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and WHS standards are consistently met
•Support business growth and continuous improvement initiatives
•Be present on the floor and lead by example during service
Head Barista – Key Responsibilities
•Lead daily coffee service and set standards within the venue
•Maintain coffee quality, consistency, and workflow during service
•Dial in coffee, manage quality control, and troubleshoot when required
•Train, mentor, and support barista team members
•Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth daily operations
•Contribute positively to team culture through hands on leadership
