We are an independent bakery looking for a passionate and fast-paced Junior Chef or Commis Chef to take ownership of and help build our sandwich section. This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior professional looking to step up and refine their culinary skills in a high-quality environment.
The Role:

Section Ownership: Take the lead in setting up and maintaining a top-tier sandwich and cold larder section.

Mise en Place: Execute high-quality ingredient preparation, including precise knife work and portion control.

Quality Control: Ensure every sandwich leaves the kitchen with a keen eye for detail and consistent presentation.

Efficiency: Work with a high sense of urgency to meet peak service times.

Stock Management: Assist with stock rotation, labelling, and receiving deliveries to ensure maximum freshness.

Position Details:

Classification: Level 2 Cook/Chef (Hospitality/Restaurant Award).

Pay Rate: Base rate of approximately $25.85/hr for part-time, plus applicable weekend penalties (e.g., Saturday $32.31/hr, Sunday $38.78/hr).
