About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Coffee Roaster/Coffee Ambassador to join the team at Good Seeds Coffee/mano a mano in West Perth. As our Coffee Roaster, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the consistent high quality of our specialty coffee products. You will also provide leadership for our cafe, host tastings, and offer cutting-edge offerings to highlight our coffee.
This role will have a customer facing side to be able over see operations of café/shop front reporting directly too general manager.

What You'll Be Doing

·      Operate and maintain coffee roasting equipment to produce high-quality coffee beans

·      Develop and maintain our roast profiles to enhance the flavour profiles

·      Consistently monitor and analyse roasting data to ensure quality and consistency- ensuring we are scoring above indùstry standards of roasting quality scores above 85/100

·      Procure and conduct quality assurance to select the best green coffee beans

·      Assist in the development of new coffee blends and products

·      Provide leadership in brewing and coffee trends

What We're Looking For

·      Minimum 2 years' experience as a commercial coffee roaster

·      Cafe operations and barista experience are a must

·      Sound knowledge of coffee bean varieties, origins, and how roast profiles impact flavour

·      Excellent attention to detail and ability to consistently produce high-quality coffee

·      Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot roasting issues

· experience with Cropster and IMF roasting machines

·      Passion for specialty coffee and dedication to continuous improvement
