The Role

As Head Chef, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective food service, with the smooth day-to-day operation of a commercial kitchen.

  • Oversee all daily kitchen operations, maintaining consistently high culinary standards
  • Ensure quality food preparation and presentation that meets dietary needs, including allergies and special requests
  • Manage staff rosters, inventory ordering, stock control, and uphold strict food safety compliance
  • Lead, mentor, and train your kitchen team to build a motivated, skilled, and cohesive crew
  • Drive recruitment and onboarding to create a strong and reliable workforce
  • Deliver seamless service that guarantees every guest enjoys an outstanding dining experience

About You

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

  • Previous Head Chef experience and cooking in a similar environment 
  • Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in electronic purchase ordering and cost management
  • Proven experience in planning and developing menus
  • Proven ability to work within a team and autonomously
  • Ability to prep and organise ahead 
  • Current First Aid Certificate is highly desirable
  • HACCP experience essential, with a high emphasis on food hygiene     
  • Current driver's license.
