The role

Experience world-class and international productions right on your doorstep at Crown Theatre. There is entertainment for everyone, with an exciting selection of upcoming musicals, concerts and theatre shows there is always something happening at Crown.

We’re seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the Crown Theatre team.

The intake for this role will be in Early June 2025.

Theatre Bar Attendant - You will be responsible for ensuring Responsible Service of Alcohol procedures are followed, taking payments from guests, assist with set up of furniture and signage as well as general tidying (Theatre bar duties). 

Theatre Usher - You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to theatre patrons. This role involves assisting guests with seating, answering questions, ensuring the smooth operation of the theatre during performances, and maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for all attendees.

About you

  • Similar role in a theatre or entertainment environment (preferable)
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekday afternoons (matinee sessions), nights, weekends & public holidays
  • Customer service experience and previous cash handling experience   
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude with a high standard of presentation

Given the casual nature of this role, hours will depend on both your availability and the number of shows coming through the Theatre. 

Additional Information

To be successful, you’ll:

  • Hold a current RSA certificate.

This role requires you to: 

  • Work across a rotating roster of morning, daytime, and evening shifts
  • Have previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment
