Deli Manager / Bakery Manager

Taylor RD IGA - Local IGA Store located in Nedlands on Stirling HWY is seeking an experienced, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Deli Manager.

Deli Department offers freshly made salads, your selection of roast meats and vegetables sandwich bar freshly made pastas and curry's and all your deli pastry's, meats and antipastos

Skills & Experience Required

• Recent hands-on experience as a Deli Manager (supermarket background preferred)
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage day-to-day deli operations
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene practices, and workplace safety standards
• Proven track record in delivering high-quality customer service
• Experience in ordering, cost control, wage management, and staff rostering
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Organised and reliable, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Confident working both independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high presentation and hygiene standards
• Passionate about food, with a creative and proactive mindset
• Cooking background is not a must but will help in this role as a very hands-on food prep department with chefs/cooks on site

Key Duties

• Oversee the deli department, ensuring smooth daily operations
• Prepare fresh deli products including salads/sandwiches/rolls/wraps/hot box meal/roast meats and vegetables
• Set up and maintain displays for ready-made meals, deli items, cheese fridge
• Manage stock including ordering, rotation, inventory, and ensuring product freshness
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the deli and back of house Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
• Support team members and foster a positive, customer-focused environment
• Weekly rosters and department planning
