About the role and where you will be working:

This position is based at Victoria Park House in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and is a Permanent Part time position working 0630-1436 Thursday and Friday. 

We also have Kitchen Hand shifts on offer! 

Remain connected to the local community at our charming, heritage‑style aged care home in Victoria Park, Kalgoorlie. Victoria Park House accommodates up to 22 residents in bright, cheerful rooms across three small households, each providing 24‑hour personalised care. The home also offers aged care and short‑term respite accommodation for up to 29 residents, creating a warm and supportive environment where individuals feel safe, valued and at home.

We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Chef who takes pride in creating a safe, welcoming, and home‑like environment for our residents. As part of our supportive team, you will play a key role in the daily operation of our facility by preparing high‑quality meals and contributing to a positive dining experience for the people in our care.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering nutritious, well‑presented meals that meet dietary requirements and enhance the wellbeing of our residents. You will work collaboratively with our care team and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment.

About you:

You may already be working in aged care, or perhaps you’re looking to bring your commercial cooking experience into a more meaningful setting. Whether your background is in restaurants, commercial kitchens, or catering, you’re ready for a role where your skills make a genuine difference.

You will thrive in this role if you are compassionate, organised, and committed to delivering high‑quality food services.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cooking
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Prior experience in commercial cooking services
  • An understanding of specific dietary requirements
  • Knowledge of safe handling & storage of chemicals
  • Great interpersonal skills
