🌿 Cafe Manager – Peppermint Green, Joondalup

Peppermint Green is a busy, community-loved cafe in Joondalup known for our beautiful breakfasts, great coffee, and high-vibe, friendly team atmosphere. We're on the hunt for a hands-on, experienced Cafe Manager who's confident running a team, keeping service smooth, and making our customers feel right at home

We're open six days a week (short days on Saturdays), offering a warm, no-nights roster that's perfect for someone who loves the buzz of hospitality but values balance

💼 About the Role

You'll work closely with the owner to lead day-to-day operations - From managing the floor and supporting your team to keeping an eye on quality, efficiency, and customer experience

This is a hands-on role that requires genuine leadership, not just delegating, but inspiring, guiding, and keeping things running calmly and efficiently when the cafe is at its busiest

✅ What We're Looking For

• Minimum 3 years barista experience – you're confident on the machine and can train others
• At least 1 year in a Supervisor or 2IC role in a busy cafe or similar environment
• A calm, steady leader who knows how to motivate and support your team
• A strong communicator who can make decisions, solve problems and keep things moving
• Customer-focused and proactive - You notice what needs doing and take ownership
• Comfortable with the nuts and bolts: Ordering, stocktakes, COGS, and wage budgets
• Food Safe Supervisor Certificate essential
• Food Safe Supervisor Certificate can be obtained within 30 days of employment if not already held
• Cooking experience is a big plus!
• Australian work authorisation required – You must be eligible to work in Australia. Sponsorship is not available sorry!

🕐 Hours & Pay

• 5 days per week: Tuesday to Friday (6:15am–2:30pm) and Saturday (7:15am–12:30pm) OR Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (6.15am - 2.30pm) and Saturday (7.15am - 12.30pm)
• No nights, no split shifts, unless you want them! (We do functions and workshops on the regular)
• Casual to start (with the option to move to part-time or full-time contract after a 3-month probation)
• Pay rate based on experience and skill set
• This is a long-term role for someone who wants stability and a great team
