What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be out in our cafés every week — coaching, training, and supporting Café Managers and their teams to achieve consistency, excellence, and pride in every detail. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Coaching and developing Café Managers to lead their teams and achieve operational and service excellence
- Delivering in-store training on specific skills, processes, or service focus areas
- Attending and contributing to monthly Managers’ Workshops, sharing best practice and supporting professional growth
- Ensuring stores are “shiny” — maintaining presentation, brand standards, and compliance with the Miss Maud Way
- Working collaboratively with managers through our established operational systems and channels to deliver consistency and efficiency
- Monitoring performance and profitability, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping develop action plans
- Using data, systems, and reports to track results, communicate clearly, and drive accountability
- Driving and embodying the Lean culture across all cafés — leading by example, promoting continuous improvement, and empowering teams to solve problems at the source.
- Championing Lean thinking to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency and service quality.
Who You Are
You’re a passionate, motivated leader who enjoys seeing others succeed. You combine professionalism with friendliness, bring structure to busy environments, and communicate with clarity and diplomacy.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience as a multi-site manager, area manager, or field coach in hospitality or retail
- Strong training, coaching, and mentoring skills — you know how to grow capability and confidence
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — clear, concise, and people-focused
- A sharp eye for detail and pride in presentation standards and displays
- Competence in financial analysis, rostering, and operational systems
- Solid computer literacy (Microsoft 365, rostering systems) would be an advantage
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport
