About the role

Smoults is a well-loved neighbourhood café in Maylands, known for great food, coffee, friendly service, and a strong local community. We’re looking for an experienced Café Manager to lead our front-of-house team and oversee the day-to-day running of the café.

This role suits someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading people, and creating a positive team culture

What you'll be doing

• Lead and support the front-of-house team
• Oversee daily café operations and service standards
• Rostering, stock control, ordering, and basic admin
• Work closely with the kitchen team
• Handle customer feedback professionally
• Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a cafe or restaurant management role
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment
• Strong focus on customer service excellence across dine-in and takeaway service
• Experience with stock control, inventory management, and ordering
• Demonstrated experience in driving sales, improving performance, and increasing profitability
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills during service and daily operations
