Winnie’s Bakehouse is more than a café and bakery — it’s a community hub built on warmth, quality and hometown hospitality. We’re looking for an experienced Café/Bakery Manager who can lead with heart and backbone.
This role is for someone who genuinely cares about people, takes pride in standards, and knows how to run a smooth, profitable, well-organised operation — while keeping the team happy, supported and accountable.
What you’ll be doing
- Leading, coaching and developing a diverse FOH team to perform at their best
- Creating a positive, safe, inclusive and respectful workplace where people enjoy coming to work
- Owning day-to-day operations: rostering, labour control, service flow and stock management
- Upholding high standards of cleanliness, food safety and presentation at all times
- Managing performance with clarity — giving praise where it’s earned and addressing issues early and fairly
- Being a visible leader on the floor, setting the tone during busy service periods
- Working closely with the leadership team to improve systems, training and customer experience
