A new cafe is opening in 2026 at the WACA Ground, as part of the exciting transformation of our iconic Ground into a world-class, multi-sport and community precinct. We’re on the hunt for a passionate and experienced Café Manager to bring energy, creativity, and leadership to this vibrant new space.

 This hands on leadership role, will see you inspiring a team to deliver exceptional service, maintain excellent food and beverage standards, and ensure smooth, efficient daily operations, all while creating a welcoming and vibrant café experience for our community.

 How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the café, ensuring smooth service and high quality standards
  • Recruit, train, roster, and supervise café staff, fostering a motivated and customer focused team
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards, resolve complaints, and build strong customer relationships
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering, and inventory control
  • Oversee compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and support profitability goals
  • Implement promotional activities and seasonal menu changes in collaboration with marketing and kitchen teams
  • Generate creative input for daily specials and seasonal promotions to support business growth
  • Maintain café presentation, cleanliness, and ambiance to reflect brand standards
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, POS reporting, and end-of-day procedures

 A great fit for this role looks like

  • Proven experience in café or hospitality management
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage rosters, budgets, and cost controls effectively
  • Sound understanding of food safety and workplace compliance
  • Experience with POS systems and inventory software
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
