Cafe All Rounder / Barista Part Time

About the business and the role

Whistler's Chocolate Co is a West Australian and family owned business that has been providing chocolates to WA for over 50 years. We consist of a Chocolate Showroom, gift store and a café in the beautiful Swan Valley.  We are home to the amazing chocolate sculptures and are surrounded by chocolate, fudge, truffles and honeycomb.

Our café serves coffee, iced drinks, fondues, desserts and a range of light meals. The café requires a part time cafe allrounder / barista who can work the following:

• Friday 10 - 4
• Saturday 10 - 4
• Sunday 9 - 4

Job tasks and responsibilities

• making coffee and beverages (main role)
• serving customers and providing excellent customer service
• using the till and eftpos machine
• assisting with food preparation
• working with your team
• keeping the cafe clean and well presented
• working well under pressure in the busy times
• being able to do extra hours in the busy periods like Easter, Christmas and school holidays.

Please note that there is some flexibility around days and hours if required to suit uni timetables etc..

Skills and experience

The skills and experience required for this role:

• previous café experience
• previous coffee making / barista experience.
• ability to keep a clean and organised work station
• to be well presented
• the ability to work well with your team
• love working with customers
• ability to work under pressure

This position suits those people who live within a 10 - 20 minute driving distance.
