Beth’s is a bustling, 80-seat bakery and cafe in the heart of East Victoria Park. We are passionate about exceptional pastries and high-volume, specialty coffee. Our weekends are fast-paced, vibrant, and packed with locals who love great hospitality.

THE SETUP

We do not compromise on gear. You will be working with:

• Synesso S300 espresso machine
• Mahlkönig E80, E65, and EK43 grinders
• TONE Brewer
• Übermilk system

THE ROLE

We are seeking an outgoing, versatile casual barista for 30 to 35 hours per week. You will thrive under pressure and love the buzz of a high-volume environment. We do not want a "one-trick pony"—you must be a team player who is vocal, engages with customers, and happily jumps into other customer-facing roles when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Dialing In: Maintain exact recipes for espresso and batch brew.
• Workflow: Manage high-volume ticketing quickly without dropping quality.
• Milk Texturing: Pour high-quality specialty foam-based drinks with exceptional latte art.
• Floor & Counter Service: Cross-over into other customer service tasks during service.
• Customer Engagement: Chat with regulars and bring positive energy to the floor.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on experience operating espresso machines.
• Skills: Deep understanding of extraction, grind adjustments, and mandatory decent latte art.
• Personality: Confident, outgoing, and willing to engage rather than hide behind the machine.
• Versatility: Adaptable attitude to help across the bakery floor as required.
• Bonus: Prior bakery experience is highly regarded.
• Availability: Consistent weekend availability is essential.
