Greenfields is a suburb located in Mandurah, south of Perth. Greenfields is easily accessible from the Kwinana Freeway's new extension and on the Perth to Mandurah train line.

Aegis Greenfields is an 'ageing in place' facility with High Care, Low Care and Extra Services accommodation available and has been designed to offer a broad range of accommodation and lifestyle options for 106 residents

About You

As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager.

A working day will involve:

  • Preparing resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus.
  • Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance.
  • Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed.

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

  • Enjoys working with the elderly.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
  • Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
  • Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

You should possess the following:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry).
  • Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
  • A knowledge of food safety.
  • Full Australian working rights and able to pass national police clearance.
