Brought to you by the team behind Daisies Cottesloe, The Other Side & Ol Buoy, Side Piece is our latest side hustle — because one love is never enough. Whether you’re after a quick coffee fix, a stacked deli sandwich, or a treat that feels just a little bit naughty, we’ve got you covered.

As Head Barista, you’ll be the heartbeat of our coffee program. You'll lead from the front, dial in the goods daily, and set the tone for exceptional service. We proudly serve Dukes Coffee, so a love for working with premium beans and a commitment to consistency are necessary.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Dialling in and serving consistently excellent coffee using Dukes
• Leading and training a tight-knit team of baristas
• Managing workflow and quality under pressure
• Collaborating on seasonal specials and creative coffee offerings
• Maintaining equipment and ensuring best practices in cleanliness and efficiency

You’ll be both a hands-on leader and a coffee mentor, ensuring that every cup is served with care and that every customer leaves with a smile (and probably a croissant).

What we’re looking for:

• A passionate and experienced barista with leadership chops
• High-volume café experience with a focus on quality and speed
• Someone who takes pride in mentoring and building a strong team
• An eye for detail, a flair for flavour, and a love of good banter
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends
