The role
Crown is the ultimate destination for dining experiences, with a vast array of casual offerings to more premium settings. We have something to suit everyone’s tastes.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the Merrywell team.

In this role, you’ll provide joyful experiences through your genuine care for guests. As well as:

  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic approach for work within a large team
  • Assist the Senior Chefs with the daily preparation and service of food
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards within this very fast paced kitchen. 

About you
You’ll bring the following:

  • Working knowledge of HACCP
  • Similar experience as a Chef de Partie
  • Grill experience will be highly regarded
  • Experience in fast paced kitchen environment  
  • Ability to produce high quality food during peak periods 

Job Description

The Chef de Partie is a critical role within our culinary team, responsible for ensuring the seamless execution of food preparation and service in a high-volume commercial kitchen environment. The primary responsibilities of this position include:

 

  • Demonstrating an unwavering commitment to adhering to stringent food safety protocols and maintaining impeccable hygiene standards throughout all stages of food handling and preparation.
  • Exhibiting a comprehensive proficiency in a diverse array of culinary techniques, enabling the consistent delivery of exceptional dishes that meet the highest quality standards.
  • Exercising meticulous attention to detail and exemplary time management skills to ensure timely and efficient food preparation, meeting the demands of a fast-paced kitchen environment.

 

Qualifications

Certificate 3&4 in commercial cookery

Additional Information

To be successful, you’ll be able to:

  • Work around a 24 hour, 7-day week roster including weekends and public holidays.
  • This role requires a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery.
