About The Role

We are looking for a Chef to join our team on a seasonal basis from March to November 2025 based at our hangar facility in Broome. The main responsibility of this role is to ensure effective preparation and cooking of food items, which are transported by our fleet of seaplanes to our pontoon for guests to enjoy as part of their tour. This role is an integral part of our catering team.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure a consistently high standard of food preparation and delivery, maintaining uniformity in products and recipes throughout the season
• Collaborate closely with the operations and aviation teams to ensure that food deliveries arrive at the pontoon within required timeframes
• Storage of food items in accordance with temperature control procedures
• Maintain appropriate records for Food Safety and HACCAP compliance, focusing on hygiene, cleanliness and overall safety in food preparation areas
• Remain vigilant in identifying and communicating food allergens for guest dietary requirements
• Assist with stock ordering and control, conducting stocktakes and the delivery of stores
• Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring that any hazards or incidents are reported and addressed promptly

About You

To be successful, you will hold a Commercial Cookery qualification and have knowledge of HACCAP and Food Safety. You will have prior experience in a food production/fast paced kitchen role or similar. You will also:

• Be a team player, able to communicate effectively with all internal stakeholders
• Be able to work under pressure, prioritise and identify key priorities to ensure smooth service delivery
• Have a high attention to detail with the ability to accurately forecast and identify ordering requirements
• Display a proactive and solutions focused approach with a ‘can do’ attitude to achieve the best outcome for business operations

Successful candidates are required to provide a current National Police Clearance.
