Cafe All Rounder / Barista Whistler's Chocolate Co Swan Valley Part Time

About the business and the role

Whistler's Chocolate Co is a West Australian and family owned business that has been providing chocolates to WA for over 50 years. We consist of a Chocolate Showroom, gift store and a café in the beautiful Swan Valley.  We are home to the amazing chocolate sculptures and are surrounded by chocolate, fudge, truffles and honeycomb.

Our café serves coffee, iced drinks, fondues, desserts and a range of light meals. 

Our café requires two part time cafe allrounders who can work in either of the following roles:

 Position 1

• Tuesday 10 - 1 and
• Sunday 10 - 3

Position 2

• Wednesday 10 - 1 and
• Sunday 10 - 3

These hours are negotiable with start and finish times.

There is also the potential for more hours during all busy periods like Easter, Christmas and school holidays.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• serving customers and providing excellent customer service
• using the till and eftpos machine
• making coffee and beverages (previous coffee making experience would be preferred)
• assisting with food preparation
• running dishes, wiping tables and keeping the cafe clean and well presented
• working with your team
• working well under pressure in the busy times
• being able to do extra hours in the busy periods like Easter, Christmas and school holidays.

Skills and experience

The skills and experience required for this role:

• previous café experience
• previous coffee making / barista experience.
• ability to keep a clean and organised work station
• to be well presented
• love working with customers
• ability to work under pressure

This position suits those people who live within a 10 - 20 minute driving distance.
