We’re on the lookout for a bright, enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Wards Central Dining in Shenton Park.
This is a casual role with shifts available across the week (Monday to Sunday) — perfect if you’re looking for flexibility and variety.
About the Role
- Prepare excellent barista‑style coffee and tea for our morning and daytime service (and occasional evening service)
- Deliver top‑notch customer service: greet, chat and engage with our guests with warmth and professionalism
- Keep the coffee station clean, stocked and well‑presented — you’re the master of the machine and the milk steam wand
- Assist with light food service / pastry display when required
- Work collaboratively with front‑of‑house and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Available for shifts across the week (including weekends) — flexible availability is essential
What We’re After
- Proven experience as a barista (ideally 1+ year) or strong willingness to learn and develop
- Confident with espresso machine, grinders and milk steaming
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a customer‑first mindset
- Good stamina, able to keep up when the café is buzzing
- Reliable availability across a varied roster (including weekends)
- A keen interest in specialty coffee, café culture and delivering a great guest experience
- RSA cert or the ability to obtain one
