Good morning everyone,
Mary Street Bakery in the CBD (QV1 Plaza) is looking for a new barista
to join our team.
We are a high volume coffee shop that’s takeaway only, often moving between 7-10kg per day.
The right candidate will have advanced barista skills such as: espresso extraction, working well under pressure, adjusting recipes by taste and working with scales. You will be required to work fast enough to have 3 group heads pouring at the same time and accurately ledge milk jugs.
As well as this, you’ll have access to our in house coffee programme to help improve your skills further as you work with us.
The ideal candidate will have the above, as well as being friendly and personable with customers and the rest of the team.
We have around 15-25 hours a week on offer at first, with opportunity for quick progression into a head barista position for the right person, and always opportunity to cover shifts at any of our 6 stores. Shifts will vary between 6:30am to 3:30pm, Monday-Friday. Looking for someone who can commit to mostly set days. This can be discussed further via email.
Pay at casual level 2, with possible progression to full time for the right candidate.
